Erasmus+ Trip to Ireland 2024

Aktualisiert: vor 3 Tagen

Our Dublin-Journey as part of our Erasmus+ project with 5A und 5B classes was simply amazing! After a trouble-free trip, we surely got to bed early as always, in order to be fit for our first day of school. After a delicious and energizing breakfast (you could start arguments about the Irish food, but the breakfast was great) we drove to our partner school Fingal Community College in Swords. There we gained interesting insights about their lessons, and we met wonderful new friends. We hope to keep in touch with them for a long time! In the evening, we explored the pretty city of Malahide, and we ate the typical Irish food: fish and chips. On the next day, we also went to school, furthermore we had a tour of the nearby Swords Castle and visited a little bay, an estuary to be more specific.

On Thursday, after two bus breakdowns, we reached the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, where the weather was unusually wonderful. On Friday, our last school-adventure was an online city-quiz through Dublin with the Irish students, in which we could learn more about the history of the city. We spent our last evening having dinner together with the Irish students in our hotel. The next morning was a great challenge because we had to get up at 3 a.m., and because of some problems with the alarm, not everyone managed to get up at that time, but somehow, we made it to catch the taxi to the airport.

Our unbeatable Dublin trip, in which we learnt a lot and made new contacts is going to stay a very long time in our minds. A big thanks goes to our accompanying teachers, Mrs. Thaler and Mrs Weitensfelder, whose engagement and sense of humor made this an unforgettable time in Ireland!
